과격한 믿음을 요구하는 말씀 앞에서 당황할 때가 있다.
예를 들어, “너희가 무엇이든지 기도하고 구하는 것은 받은 줄로 믿으라 그리하면 너희에게 그대로 되리라.”
지금 구하는 것을 이미 받았다고 믿으라고? 지금 구했으니까 앞으로 받게 될 것을 믿으라,
이렇게 말하면 받아 들이는 것이 어렵지 않지만 지금 구한 것을 이미 받았다고 믿으라는 것은
우리의 이성적인 판단을 뒤흔드는 것이다.
하지만 복음의 빛 아래서 우리가 기도가 뭔지를 알게 되면 “아하, 그렇구나!” 라는 결론에 이르게 된다.
복음은 말한다. “성도는 전능하신 하나님 아버지 앞에서 산다.
성도가 기도한다는 것은 전능자 앞에서 말하는 것이다.” 그렇다면 무엇이든지 구하는 것을
이미 받았다고 믿고 입으로 시인해야 하지 않겠는가? 전능자에게는 불가능이 없다.
'Ah, I see!'
There are times when one may feel perplexed in the face of the demanding words of radical faith.
For instance, 'Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.'
Believe that you have already received what you are asking for now?
It is easier to accept the idea of believing for what you have prayed for and
will receive in the future, but believing that you have already received
what you are currently praying for challenges our rational judgment.
However, as we come to understand what prayer is in the light of the gospel,
we arrive at the conclusion, 'Ah, I see!'
The gospel says, 'The saints live in the presence of Almighty God the Father.
When the saints pray, they are speaking in the presence of the Almighty.'
In that case, should we not believe and declare that we have already received whatever we ask for?
Nothing impossible for the Almighty One.
