남녀노소 빈부귀천 가릴 것 없이 우리 모두에게는 한 가지 배고픔이 있다.
그것은 무조건적인 용납에 대한 갈망이다.
자녀들은 부모가 조건 없이 자신들을 받아 주면 좋겠다는 소원을 품는다.
남편은 아내가, 아내는 남편이 어떤 이유도 대지 않고 무조건 자신을 존중해 주기를 바란다.
이같은 갈망이 강하다는 것은 실제 우리가 그런 조건 없는 용납을 받지 못고 있다는 것을 보여준다.
왜 그럴까? 왜 우리는 조건적으로 사람들을 대할까?
그것은 우리가 하나님의 무조건적인 용납을 누리지 못하기 때문이다.
우리를 향한 하나님의 변함없는 은혜를 알면 알수록 우리도 모르게 다른 사람을 현재 모습 그대로
용납하며 사랑할 수 있게 된다.
Everyone's hunger ?
Regardless of age, gender, or social status, every one of us
has one hunger – the desire for unconditional acceptance.
Children wish that their parents would accept them without any conditions.
Husbands want their wives, and wives want their husbands, to respect and value them unconditionally,
without any reasons.
Our having such a strong desire for it indicates that in reality,
we are not receiving this unconditional acceptance.
Why is that so? Why do we treat people conditionally?
It's because we are not experiencing God's unconditional acceptance.
The more we come to know about God's unwavering grace towards us,
the more we can unknowingly accept and love others just as they are.
